As we see the shifts and changes occurring in society, it is important to remember how such changes have come about. Many great souls have paved the way towards this spiritual evolution: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, Gandhi, Dr. King, and so many others…and now it is truly up to each and every one of us to continue this evolution of consciousness. And how exactly can we do that?. By living with awareness of our divine nature—and exemplifying our natural, loving qualities. We can remember what we have been taught by our greatest teachers who have paved the way towards this global transformation. Our greatest teachers have taught us about love; love is the common denominator that binds all true religions and spiritual paths. Jesus taught us about love. Buddha taught us about love. Dr. King taught us about love. All of the greatest teachers have taught us about love. Love of one’s self, love of mankind, love of all living beings, love of God. Love is what has brought forth such great change in the world. Dr. King spoke about our need for a shift in values—”from a thing-oriented society, to a people-oriented society”–a revolution in values. We need to reexamine our core values. If we are willing to re-prioritize our values, we will achieve lasting change. If is up to each and every one of us to do our part; to live our lives in a more conscious way with regard to the welfare of all. That is love.
